Real Curriculum for Real Churches
When choosing a new curriculum, you deserve to know who’s behind it and who it’s truly for.
Why we created Mini Revolutions
At Illustrated Ministry, we believe the rhythms of the Church year are not just cycles of hope and renewal. They are sacred invitations to challenge injustice, stand against harm, and build a community of love.
That’s why we created Mini Revolutions—for churches and families to practice these rhythms and accept these invitations through the revolutions of the liturgical calendar.
Who it’s for
Mini Revolutions is created by ministry practitioners for ministry practitioners—people who know what it’s like to prep Sunday school with a toddler on your hip, lead faith formation in divided communities, or rewrite outdated materials at the last minute.
We’ve stayed up late editing lessons that don’t align with our theology or values. We’ve adapted resources that spoke too narrowly or excluded our communities. And we’ve created Mini Revolutions so you don’t have to do that anymore.
Designed by Real Practitioners
The Mini Revolutions team includes Children, Youth, and Family Directors, Associate Pastors, Ministers, and Christian Educators from a wide range of churches. Some serve five families in a fellowship hall; others lead large congregations overflowing with classrooms and programming.
Each writer brings pastoral insight and theological integrity, shaped by what ministry actually looks like today. So whether you’re a team of ten or a solo leader inviting volunteers, parents, and kids into the process, this curriculum is built to support your real life.

Rooted in the Revised Common Lectionary
Each week begins with one scripture from the Revised Common Lectionary, thoughtfully chosen based on what is developmentally appropriate and how it reads across generations. You’ll explore the Psalms and Prophets, Gospels and Epistles, histories and narratives from every genre of scripture! From there, we craft curious reflections and creative responses rooted in sacred rhythm and inclusive theology.

Committed to Inclusion and Accessibility
We designed Mini Revolutions to be inclusive from the start. Crafting every word, illustration, and theological connection with love and intention so you won’t need to make edits or add disclaimers to make the content safe.
Our materials reflect a wide range of identities, ages, and family models, empowering every child, caregiver, and volunteer to feel seen, not filtered out.
Explore what we mean by truly inclusive curriculum.
Built for the Ministry You’re Living
Mini Revolutions is simple on the surface and deeply thoughtful underneath. It’s made to help you lead something meaningful without having to do it all yourself.
It’s not just something to use, it’s something to lean on.
Each week, you’ll find flexible tools, grounded theology, and inclusive language to help you speak about faith with care—even if all you have is a fifteen-minute gathering during worship.

Ready to Experience It Yourself?
If you care deeply about what you teach and feel tired of complicated prep, skipping content, or working around curriculum that doesn’t fit, Mini Revolutions is what you’ve been looking for.
It’s built for practitioners like you and churches like yours—grounded in justice, shaped by sacred rhythm, and flexible enough to grow with your people.
