Vilmarie Cintrón-Olivieri


Vilmarie is an educator and a Presbyterian ruling elder. She has served the PC(USA) in the session, presbytery, and synod levels, as well as other church groups and committees. Vilmarie has dedicated most of her adult life to education and training, primarily teaching English to high-school and adult students from all over the world. Most recently, along with the Rev. Cindy Kohlmann, she served as Co-Moderator of the 223rd General Assembly (2018) of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the first Hispanic Latina and first Puerto Rican person to be elected to this office. Vilmarie loves decorating and arts & crafts, watercolor painting is a preferred prayer practice and enjoys relaxing over a good cup of Puerto Rican coffee. Vilmarie lives in Florida with her husband, the Rev. José Manuel Capella-Pratts.
